The Seekers of the Road made their first, major road trip this year to the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Guthrie, OK. The event was headlined by Mumford and Sons and featured other great bands such as the Alabama Shakes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Bear's Den, HAIM, Half Moon Run, The Vaccines and many others.
The main event was a two day music fest with vendors from all over the country as well. We were there for three days and three nights and spent most of our time relaxing in a tent city comprised of 1000's of people with tents. It was an interesting experience with a wide variety of people.
When we weren't relaxing in Tent City we were in town where the streets of downtown were blocked off for a weekend long festival going on with local bands performing as well as many different vendors selling arts, crafts, food, clothing and a variety of other things.
All in all it was a great three day/night weekend getaway with great music, great people and a wonderful town. We will definitely be going back if we get another opportunity.
